Kingdom Hearts Dawn
The 2nd installment of the NDS’ Digimon series is the Digimon World: Dawn. You will notice that there are several improvements on the game, although not as much as we had hoped. Though this is not entirely a bad thing and it does have it’s good side since the gameplay is still very much like the first one, and that’s just how we like it. This game includes the new Digimon, and is also equipped with Burst modes and better-looking Digi trees that makes it more real.
Graphics: 6 out of 10
There is only one thing I can say about the graphics of the 2nd installment and this is: not good. The graphics are kind of old and it looks very much like the ones you’d expect from Gameboy Advance. The environment is quite dull and with basically no movements in the trees or waters all throughout the game. The characters also have the same appearance as in the previous installment as well.
GamePlay: 8 out of 10
The original game, which was released sometime ago was fantastic and they basically haven’t made much changes with the gameplay now. The controls can be used easily and without much of a problem. Would have scored it a 10 if there was a touch screen option for controls. In terms of story, you can’t expect much really.
Sound: 7 out of 10
The sound for the game is real good but if you listen to it again and again and again well, it gets kind of annoying. The battle sounds are different though because they are just amazing. Different battles play different sounds; so you get sounds for normal battles and another set for the boss battles.
Overall: 7.8 out of 10
The Digimon World: Dawn meets your expectations in terms of gameplay. You will also be well pleased with the easy menus and the great battles. Amazing gameplay, really. However, in terms of graphics, I’d have to give a thumbs down, and the sounds is just okay. I’d give this game a 7.8 out of 10 and would be really nice if its producers could add more digimon characters for future games. You can play this game for more than 65 hours if you are serious about creating one strong and powerful team of Digimon.
