All that's in there is seemingly random data. They did a nice try at trying to simulate a "header" for the game, but the header for the Sonic DS ROM looks nothing like a typical ROM header - again, mostly random data with a few bits of text injected in to it (obvious stuff like copyright info).
And while I'm no genius when it comes to looking at stuff in hex editors, I've looked through NES, Genesis, GBA, N64 and SNES ROMs as a comparison as to how a normal ROM for dumped games looks, and it doesn't appear to match. |

 After that title we have to put a BIG question mark.
(This turned out to be FAKE and will not be included in the DS ROM List)
People who are following the events in Emu scene know that Sonic Advance 3 GBA ROM was leaked on the internet 1 month before its retail release. Has the same thing happened to Sonic DS rom? Is there a mole inside SEGA?
Or is it nothing more than 47 MB of random data with a few strings inserted near the beginning to make it appear genuine.. to tell you the truth - We don't know. We don't have a working Nintendo DS emulator to test this rom. We did investigate this .nds file and what we found is:

Sonic DS game rip. The game itself I've had for a while now. (I do a small testing job for NoE - Nintendo of Europe), got a job of testing Sonic DS and Pictochat, rigged this prototype DS into the PC via adaptor we get to hook to the TV or PC for bug recording. Managed to compress it into this. |
